Where has the time gone? We cannot believe it is already nearing the end of the school year! As the summer holidays draw closer, it’s time to say a big thank you to the teachers that have nurtured our children's learning, creativity and imagination over the past year.

Here are a few of our favourite homemade gift ideas, your child will be so proud to give something personal back to their favourite teachers – who will no doubt be very happy to receive them!

Plant Pots These plant pots are a wonderful gift for the summer, great for brightening any desk or windowsill. They are quick and easy to make, and you could plant a range of different flowers, or else create a mini herbs garden.  

Homemade Jam With the sunny weather bringing out some gorgeous strawberries and other sweet, juicy fruits, what better time to be making jam! This recipe is great; use your child’s (or their teacher’s!) favourite fruit and get cracking. For a special touch, add a one of our personalised stick-on labels to the jar.

Pencil Vase These cute pencil vases are another really simple DIY gift for your child’s teacher, complete the gift by adding a bouquet of colourful flowers. Alternatively, use a shorter vase or glass and create a pencil pot for stationery – we’re sure either will be very much appreciated.

Fabric Pixie Cups These pretty pixie cups will be great for a teacher’s desk or home! Depending on size, they can be uses to store stationery, cosmetics, keys or pretty much anything else. Once your pixie cup is finished, why not add one of our sew-on labels.
