Creative Ideas for Red Nose Day Fundraising

Time to dig out the face paint and red hair spray, as Red Nose Day is here on Friday 24th March! If you’ve not decided how you can support the cause and help fundraise, we’ve got ideas to make you look silly, sweaty or even relaxed – no excuses now!

The Great Red Nose Day Bake Off A bake sale is a go-to idea for any fundraising event. This year, why not introduce a bit of healthy competition? Whether you’re making rice crispy cakes with the children or channelling your inner master chef with a Charlotte Royale, double the fun and the funds by getting bakers to pay £1 to take part in the competition. Then, sell your delights to your own Paul Hollywoods and Mary Berrys – first cake to sell out wins! Make sure you get all your Tupperware back with our round, dishwasher safe stickers.

For School If you’re a PTA member or involved with your child’s nursery, why not arrange a talent show? Sell tickets to parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and neighbours and see how proud your child is to see an audience applaud their singing, dancing, magic tricks and more!

For The Office Exactly how brave will you be feeling on Friday 24th? If you’re not restricted by uniform or other formalities, why not be bold and wear red? Or be bolder and get sponsored for wearing your red onesie all day! You could even give yourself a crazy hairstyle or get creative with some face paint. If this isn’t viable, or you don’t quite fancy committing to looking ridiculous ALL day, why not bring in your red nose and bright deely boppers?

Get Outdoors Challenge yourself this Red Nose Day! If you’re up for more than taking part in a sponsored walk or run, why not do a sponsored skydive? Or a hike? If you do want to go the extra mile, but are unsure about doing it alone, try a 24 hour challenge. All you need is your gym kit, an exercise machine and a good team! Together, you can take it in turns to row, run, cycle or walk for 24 hours continuously, so the bigger the team, the more chance you have for a quick nap!

Or Stay Inside! If you don’t fancy getting your gym kit on, or don’t have the sweet tooth for cakes, try a wine and cheese night! Approach local wine merchants, farm shops, independent stores or even supermarkets, asking whether they can donate wine and cheese for your evening, then ask your guests to donate to take part in the tasting! For added fun, you could cover the wine labels and see if your friends can guess the most expensive of the bunch. Or see how well they know their cheeses!
