Create a ski theme in your home

It's that time of year to hit the slopes. Are you going away skiing or snowboarding? If not but you love the idea of snuggling up in a cosy ski chalet, here's some great ideas you could add to your home. For the ski look: 1. Use check fabrics. Look out for check curtains and cushions, there are plenty on the high street, like in The Range and Dunelm.

2. Add in some faux fur. Blankets and throws work so well in creating that cosy ski chalet look and will keep you warm on these cold winter days.

3. Upcycle skis or snowboards. We love this idea from Pinterest. Take some old skis or a snowboard and make them into some shelves for all you knick knacks.

4. Accessorise. Get some mountain, reindeer or snow themed accessories and lots of candles and fill your home. Find a nice ski map, and frame it on the wall or make some mountain themed bunting. Or buy something like this cool 'Please remove ski boots here' sign from Etsy and put it by your door.
