Keeping safe and healthy this Autumn

With Autumn soon approaching, we have put together some top tips to help you and your little ones keep safe and healthy during the season.

⭐️Layer up! Layers allow you to remove items for car journeys or when moving between indoors and outdoors.

⭐️Get some sun whenever you can (although limited it can be found occasionally in the UK!) – boost those vitamin-D levels by getting out for a walk – the colours in autumn are beautiful and connecting with nature is also a brilliant mood-booster (once you get the kids outside, we promise they’ll love it!)

⭐️Start to create firework/bonfire safety awareness with the children – this resource from the Child Accident Prevention Trust is brilliant: https://capt.org.uk/lessons-for-little-ones/. You could turn it into an activity, such as creating a poster.

⭐️When attending bonfire night or firework displays, make sure your child has your phone number with them, our safety ID wristband are great for this. Also, any glow-in-the-dark sticks (you can get them at most general stores) & reflective clothing are also great to help you see them better in dark spots.

⭐️Create a dedicated space for each child’s hats, scarfs and gloves near the front door for easy access (hopefully lessening the time it takes to get ready to leave the house!) – and as always, we recommend labelling all items!
