At the end of last summer House Beautiful magazine wrote a great
piece on Staycations and shared a top UK Staycation list of places to visit. So with this summer now upon us why not check out somewhere new in the UK this holiday season.
Number one on the list is the seaside town of Southwold in Suffolk, and it's easy to see why with its coastal location and lots of traditional and modern things to see and do.
Southwold's top attraction is its beach which hosts the must see
Pier and
lighthouse. The beach has a blue flag award (for cleanliness and amenities) and is a mix of sand and shingle. Dogs are allowed and it is lifeguarded. With beautiful beach huts on show it is certainly not to be missed.
Latitude Festival started in 2006 and has grown bigger and bigger each year, being awarded the 'Best Major Festival' in 2017. It is located in Henham Park (5 miles in land from the centre of Southwold) and this year it will be on from the 12th-15th July. The festival has lots of different areas (music based, film, comedy etc) to keep everyone entertained including several family spaces to make it one of the UK's most family friendly festivals.
Festival and beaches are full of crowds;

The well-known Adnams is certainly worth a visit too (for over 18's), best known for brewing beer it has diversified into spirits and has a few pubs/ inns and retail stores too. Go on a tour and see all the behind the scenes running.
Whether you holiday in Southwold or anywhere else in the UK, have a great Staycation.
