With International Children's' Book day on the 2nd April, we've been thinking about our favourite Children's books and here they are:
Claire: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda were my favourite books as a child, I still love them now; in fact any of Roald Dahl's stories caught and held my attention. His imagination, language and general story telling was sublime".
Amy: "I liked a lot of picture books when I was little like Blue Balloon and Rainbow Fish. Easy to understand before I could read all the words. Then later on I really enjoyed Jacqueline Wilson Books like The suitcase Kid and The Story of Tracy Beaker".
Ellie: My favourite children's author was definitely Enid Blyton and her books; 'The Adventures of Mr Pink-Whistle' and Naughty Amelia Jane.
Tanisha: "I have early memories of Old Bear Stories, particularly Little Bears' book and other stories, and also My Naughty Little Sister by Dorothy Edwards (Illustrated by the magnificent Shirley Hughes CBE)".
Happy International Children's Book Day.
