Easy2Name Blog http://www.easy2name.com/blog Just another WordPress site Wed, 13 Apr 2016 13:00:16 +0000 en-GB hourly 1 School Holidays http://www.easy2name.com/blog/school-holidays/ http://www.easy2name.com/blog/school-holidays/#comments Wed, 13 Apr 2016 13:00:16 +0000 http://www.easy2name.com/blog/?p=9688 The clocks have changed… Days are longer… Summer will be here before you know it!!

And while we’d all like to spend 6 weeks on a tropical island, it’s not that likely. So here are some ideas on what you and your family can do during the holidays.

Weekends away. It’s always exciting going somewhere new, so pack a bag and spend a few days in a different city or town. Why go abroad when there’s plenty to explore right here in England.

Go outside. Whenever the Sun decides to shine, take advantage and go on a nice family walk or bike ride. Take a picnic and make a day of it.

Or if we’re lucky enough to experience really high temperatures, take a trip to the beach. Spend the day building sandcastles and cooling off in the sea. Even if it’s a bit windy there’s nothing like fish and chips at the seaside.

Have fun and learn something with trips to museums, zoos and aquariums. The majority of museums are free so it’s not an expensive day out.

Indoor activities like Bowling, Swimming and Ice/Roller-skating are fun for the whole family.

Get messy!!- Whether you like to paint like Picasso or bake up a storm like Mary Berry, it’s always more fun when you can make a mess (Not so much for whoever’s cleaning).

Whatever you do we hope you have FUN!!

For days out use our Wristbands to keep little ones safe.

Packed Lunch Ideas http://www.easy2name.com/blog/packed-lunch-ideas/ http://www.easy2name.com/blog/packed-lunch-ideas/#comments Wed, 06 Apr 2016 14:04:41 +0000 http://www.easy2name.com/blog/?p=9678 Children can be very fussy when it comes to their food. From not liking certain things, to not eating it because it was cut in a different way.

We’ve found some ideas to help make packed lunches more exciting, while still making sure they stay healthy.

Sandwiches- Why not try using cookie cutters to turn ordinary sandwiches into fun shapes that all children will enjoy! Pitta’s and wraps are great alternatives, and wholemeal products make them a little healthier.

Fruit and Veg Kebabs- Get kids snaking on fruit and veg by placing small chunks onto a skewer. Mix things up by using cheese or different meats.

Sweets- Chocolate bars and cakes are a favourite for children’s lunches, cut back on fats and sugar by homemaking treats instead. Involve the kids for fun all round!! Here are some healthy recipes we found:

Chocolate Cake

Banana Loaf

Apple Crisps

Flapjacks

Drinks:

Water- It is recommended that children should drink 5 glasses a day. Flavour using squash (check it has no added sugar).

Milk/Milkshakes- Increase daily calcium and protein intake.

Fruit Juices- Not too much as they contain a lot of natural sugars.

Smoothies- Use fruit and veg to make the perfect blend.

Don’t forget… Use our original stick on labels to stop lunch boxes getting lost. Starting from £3.50!!

Happy Lunching :)

How to label everything quickly! http://www.easy2name.com/blog/how-to-label-everything-quickly-2/ http://www.easy2name.com/blog/how-to-label-everything-quickly-2/#comments Tue, 21 Oct 2014 13:00:15 +0000 http://www.easy2name.com/blog/how-to-label-everything-quickly-2/ Label things quickly with Easy2Name’s Sticky Starter Pack

Our Sticky Starter Pack is the perfect option for anyone looking to label their children’s belongings easily and quickly. With no need to get out the needle and thread or the iron this pack is made for busy mums. Our hugely popular StickEasys for the clothes are included. They are designed to stick to the care tag inside clothes. They will stay stuck through the washing machine and tumble dryer… yes really! They are particularly useful for things that cannot be ironed such as waterproof sports jackets.

Name Labels

Below is how to label the clothing:

1. Stick the label firmly to the care tag or label in neck area (Do not apply direct to the garment/fabric)
2. Wait 24 hours before washing the clothes to allow for maximum adhesion.
So simple, you cannot go wrong!

Also included in the pack is our Stick on Labels for all other belongings. These labels really will stay stuck… for years! Even in the dishwasher, steriliser or microwave. Suggested uses are lunchboxes, beakers, tupperware, books and stationary. They can also be used inside shoes with the application of our Shoe Label Covers which are a clear cover designed to be stuck over the top of the Stick on Labels. This prevents the name from rubbing off where the feet rub against them inside the shoes. With 9 different colours to choose from including Fluorescent Orange and Green, the Stickers really do stand out.

Stick on labels

Below is how to label the belongings:

1.  Stick the label on a smooth, clean dry surface
2.  Wait 24 hours before washing/dishwashing the items for maximum adhesion
3.  For use in shoes, stick to the sole of the shoe and apply clear shoe covers over the top

Label your belongings

The Sticky Starter Pack is dispatched within 1 working day via 1st Class Royal Mail. We also offer next day delivery for anyone who needs them urgently at an extra cost.

]]> http://www.easy2name.com/blog/how-to-label-everything-quickly-2/feed/ 0 Christmas Shopping Tips 2015 http://www.easy2name.com/blog/christmas-shopping-tips-2015/ http://www.easy2name.com/blog/christmas-shopping-tips-2015/#comments Mon, 30 Nov 2015 16:18:28 +0000 http://www.easy2name.com/blog/?p=9663 It’s now countdown until the man in the red suit comes down your chimney! Time to hit the shops and get the presents ready!

Here are our top tips to help avoid so much rushing around and expense.

  1. Start as early as you can. This way you can not only spread the cost but also the stress levels, get what you can, done early then you can enjoy all the festivities that December brings. Make a list of everything you need to purchase and tick off as and when you get them.
  2. Buy online and use a click and collect service as much as possible. This way you can do everything at a time that suits you. Do check delivery times though, you don’t want it to arrive late.
  3. Use cashback websites like topcashback.com or get a cashback credit card, you may as well earn while you spend.
  4. Get a grocery slot online early, to order the big bulky things and save yourself the battle of having to do a big trolley shop days before Christmas. Top yourself up with small quick supermarkets shops, only using a basket to get the last minute, short expiry date products. Look out for Supermarket Saving schemes as well, this can help spread the cost over the year.
  5. Check out the last posting dates for Christmas cards and parcels at royalmail.com/greetings . The last recommended date for posting first class is 21st December 2015. Also Royal Mail offer a free letter from Santa service, check out the details here www.royalmail.com/letters-to-santa
  6. Finally keep the receipts, many shops do gift receipts now and many extend returns policies to the New Year in case your recipient isn’t satisfied.
  7. Failing all else, make your own gift, Pinterest.com has thousands of ideas, for cheap and more meaningful alternatives.

Have a very happy and stress free run up to Christmas.
